[MTN] CARM Hosts the 2nd Open Innovation Investment Conference

The Council for Advanced Regenerative Medicine (CARM) announced that it will hold the 2nd CARM Open Innovation Investment Conference on the 21st at Hall E on the third floor of COEX.

The conference is one of CARM’s key annual initiatives, designed to promote Korea’s advanced regenerative medicine and biotechnology industry and support promising companies in attracting investment.

This year’s event will be co-hosted with the Korea Regenerative Medicine Fund (KFRM), which oversees the government’s regenerative medicine R&D program, and supported by the Korea Venture Capital Association, Korea Investment Partners, and Daily Partners.

Congratulatory remarks are scheduled to be delivered by Eun Seong-ho, Director General for Advanced Medical Support at the Ministry of Health and Welfare; Noh Yeon-hong, Chairman of the Korea Pharmaceutical and Bio-Pharma Manufacturers Association; Hwang Man-soon, CEO of Korea Investment Partners; and Yoon Keon-soo, Chairman of the Korea Venture Capital Association.

The program will begin with a keynote presentation by Chairman Yoon Keon-soo, followed by IR presentations from 14 regenerative medicine companies and questions and advisory sessions involving approximately 55 domestic investment firms. A number of strategic investors will also participate to assess second-half investment trends in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors and explore potential business partnerships.

Following the IR presentations, participating companies and investors will take part in one-on-one consultation meetings.

CARM said it hopes the conference will help revive investment sentiment in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors through collaboration with industry organizations and investors, while providing small and venture companies with an opportunity to advance to the next stage of growth.

The 16 companies participating in the IR and one-on-one consultation sessions are NeurolMed, Maru Therapeutics, MarkHelz, B-Element, StemExOne, Acrocell Bioscience, Xcell Therapeutics, Youth Bio Global, InstemCare, ILIAS Biologics, GeneMedicine, CLIPS BnC, PAIAN Biotechnology, Pentamedix, Primoris Therapeutics, and HaplScience.
